It's available in SilkMatt, Matt, ExtraMatt and an unfinished Raw version, the latter useful where a specific colour or additional coating step is planned afterwards.
Mega and Mega EVO: One-Component for Everyday Use
Bona Mega is a single-component, water-based, 100% polyurethane lacquer for timber floors in both commercial and domestic areas under heavy wear. Because it crosslinks using oxygen in the air rather than a mixed-in catalyst, it offers much of the performance of a two-component finish without the mixing step, and is available in Matt, Gloss and ExtraMatt.
Bona Mega EVO is the newer generation of this line, using a self-crosslinking formula that triggers on application, with added resistance to yellowing over time. It's aimed at heavy residential and moderate commercial use, and is available in Silk Matt, Matt and Ultra Matt — the Ultra Matt option replaces what was previously sold as Mega Natural Varnish.
Traffic GO: A Hybrid of 1K Ease and 2K Durability
Bona Traffic GO takes a different approach — a 2K lacquer with an integrated hardening component, aiming to combine the straightforward application of a one-component product with the durability of a genuine two-component finish, without a separate mixing step.
Bona Retarder: Controlling Application Conditions
Bona Retarder is an additive used with Bona's waterborne primers and topcoats to improve levelling and extend open time, particularly useful when indoor humidity is low or the room is warmer than normal. It reduces the risk of the lacquer drying too quickly and leaving visible lap marks or an uneven finish.
